#  Maxwell Drift Conveyor Head End and Stacker

  ### Project Overview and Scope

Nepean Conveyors was engaged to support the design and supply of the Maxwell Project Woodlands Drift and Development Conveyor. EMtek’s scope focused on the structural engineering, detailed arrangement and shop detailing for the conveyor head end at surface and associated stacker infrastructure.

Nepean Conveyors retained responsibility for the conveyor arrangement and mechanical design, including power and tension calculations, pulley locations, idlers, belt cleaners and associated conveyor equipment.

EMtek was engaged to provide the detailed structural design and documentation required to support fabrication and installation of the defined head end and structural scope areas.

EMtek’s scope covered:

- Engineering management and design reviews
- Structural engineering and detailed design
- 3D model development
- Concrete foundation design
- Structural calculations and material take-offs
- Piping layouts and isometrics for washdown services
- Shop detailing packages for fabrication

 

### Services and Outcome

EMtek delivered the structural engineering and shop detailing package for the Maxwell Drift Conveyor head end and stacker areas.

Key services included:

- Navisworks 3D model development
- Structural basis of design
- Structural calculation report
- Civil and concrete foundation calculations
- Head end footing arrangement and detail drawings
- Switchroom footing details
- Structural quantities and material take-offs
- Washdown water piping arrangements
- Piping isometrics for head end services
- Shop detail packs for gantries, trestles and head end structures
- Detailing for conveyor covers, guarding and underpans
- Field device bracket and cable tray support detailing
- Marking plans, fitting sheets, NC/DXF files, material lists and bolt lists

The completed package provided Nepean Conveyors with the structural design and fabrication documentation required to progress the head end and stacker works, while maintaining clear scope separation between EMtek’s structural detailing role and Nepean’s conveyor mechanical, electrical and process design responsibilities.
