Project Overview and Scope
Fosterville identified the need for an additional BIOX tank to accommodate future ore grade changes and reduce the risk of the BIOX circuit becoming a bottleneck within the processing plant. EMtek was engaged initially to prepare an engineering scope document to support release of an engineering design package to market, and to provide budgetary pricing for the full detailed design. The overall scope covered the engineering and design required to integrate a new BIOX tank into the existing circuit, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control system considerations.
Services and Outcome
EMtek provided early project definition and detailed design services for the proposed BIOX tank installation, developing the information required to support both market engagement and project delivery.
Key areas of delivery included:
- Site visit and project scoping with Fosterville personnel
- Preparation of an engineering scope document for issue to engineering firms for pricing
- SMP design and layout for the new BIOX tank and associated infrastructure
- Concrete, electrical, instrumentation and control system design
- Development of 3D model, general arrangement drawings and detailed design documentation
- Preparation of contractor scopes of work for civil, SMP and electrical packages
Deliverables included the engineering scope document, 3D Navisworks model, general arrangement drawings, P&IDs, piping isometrics, structural calculations, tank datasheet and fabricator drawings, mechanical equipment datasheets, shop detailing packs for platforms and supports, electrical schematics, single line diagrams, cable schedules, earthing, lighting design and detailed construction drawings.
