#  Western Turner Syncline 2

  ### Project Scope

EMtek and Mondium were engaged by Rio Tinto in joint venture to an EPC style contract to complete all works for the Western Turner 2 project, including the crushing plant, OLC, 33KV power distribution system, NPI Facilities, associated water controls and communication systems. The WTS Phase 2 Stage 2 project was then required to expand production of WTS2 from the 8.8Mtpa road train operation to a capacity suitable to sustain the Tom Price process plant at a rate of 30Mtpa crusher feed. EMtek and Mondium collaboratively completed the detailed engineering and design with no disruption to the critical path of the project schedule.

 

### Major Work Inclusions

- Primary Crushing Station – Control System engineering and design to include PLC and SCADA for the process control and interface,
- Primary crusher discharge conveyor,
- Transfer Station including all mechanical, structural, concrete, earthworks, electrical, and control systems,
- Overland Conveyor including all earthworks, drainage, hydrology, and tie into the existing Overland conveyor,
- Commissioning including no-load, energized, loaded and 2 weeks operational.
