Transfer Chute Upgrade

Project Scope

EMtek was proud to partner with Fortescue on the Transfer Chute Upgrade project scope through the following deliverables.

• Re-design of an adjustable deflector plate with tapered outlet to control the flow of material into the lower chute.
• Rotatable lower chute, improving mass flow and reducing the sensitivity to variables, which cause belt tracking issues.
• Increased belt life by providing greater protection from direct rock impact and reducing belt shear.
• Mid chute fixed and supported from above.
• Refinement of existing geometry.
• Permanent access platform around lower chute section.
• Lower chute with trolley loading system for maintenance.
• Spillage catchment under transfer chute.
• Spillage catchment under Conveyor with launder to ground bunker.
• Updates to guards at Conveyor transfer station.
