#  Conveyor Take-Up Maintenance Winch

  ### Project Scope

EMtek was engaged by industry-leading Fortescue to reduce the time it took to isolate various conveyor systems at the Christmas Creek mine. The major constraint was the isolation of the gravity take-up units on a number of conveyors. As isolation processes were previously manual, EMtek successfully designed maintenance winches to decrease the isolation time. The detailed design and engineering work was awarded to EMtek on the back of the concept engineering study that was completed by EMtek earlier in 2020.

 

### Major Work Inclusions

- On-site laser scanning.
- Design development for each conveyor.
- Finalise mechanical, electrical and structural engineering for all installations.
- Update winch data sheets.
- Shop detail of all settle work and fabricated items.
- MTO’s and cost estimates.
- Prepare SOW for installations.
- Structural, mechanical and electrical calculations.
- Equipment data sheets for all mechanical and electrical equipment including winches and sheaves.
- Electrical schematics and termination drawings.
- 3D Navisworks, GA’s and shop drawings for each installation.
