Solomon Direct Train Loading

Solomon Direct Train Loading

  • Client: Fortescue
  • Location: Pilbara, Western Australia
  • Date: 2019

Project Scope

EMtek assisted Fortescue to extend the CV801 Kings Valley OPF stacking yard conveyor to the CV902 train load out conveyor, bypassing the RC901 Reclaimer. Utilising direct train loading from King Valley OPF allowed for a 6,500tph train loading rate from the extended stacking yard conveyor CV081 during planned extensive Reclaimer maintenance and unscheduled Reclaimer breakdowns and during periods where blending between different ore materials were accepted. EMtek’s scope included the engineering, detailed design and shop detailing of the new CV803 conveyor, Loading Hopper over CV803 and transfer tower for discharge onto CV902.
