#  Fire System Upgrade

  ### Project Scope

When Rio Tinto upgraded elements of the fire protection systems within the Mesa A&J plants, EMtek completed a study to ensure the fire protection systems provided a level of protection that reduced the risk of damage to the company's assets and loss of production in the event of a fire to an acceptable level by ensuring that the fire systems were in compliance with applicable Australian and RTIO standards.

 

### Major Work Inclusions

- Data review, request and collection.
- Site investigation and weekly progress meetings.
- Verification of site as-built data.
- Surveying of existing infrastructure including pumps, tanks, pipes and hydrants etc.
- Study report to include calculations, sketches and recommendations.
- Safety in design HAZID register.
- Multidiscipline Detailed engineering and design of new Fire system infrastructure based on report findings
- Project implementation, Management and controls
- Onsite construction support and commissioning
