Project Scope

Based on projected core volumes, the team at Fosterville Gold Mine proposed to install a fit for purpose core processing facility within the zoned perimeter of the existing mining lease. The new facility resulted in a number of improvements including an increase in process efficiency, reduction in operating costs, reduction in manual handling exposure, reduced vehicle/pedestrian interaction, increased security for core samples and improvement in communication between drill operators and core processing teams. 

Major Work Inclusions

  • Detailed engineering and design.
  • Produce procurement packages and tender scopes for conveyor systems, buildings package (main core shed, pulp storage, general storage, strapping shelter, core cutting shed), SMPEI package including design, supply, manufacture, transport and installation (HV Power to core shed, Roller Conveyors, Core Saw, Tanks and Pumps and Pipework).
  • Finalise layout of the facility.
  • Detailed design of the facility earthworks including drainage.
  • Detailed design of all concrete works.
  • Piping and services design.
  • Electrical design.
