  ### Project Scope

EMtek was engaged by proud Western-Australian company Fortescue, to complete the detailed engineering and design for the Biggie Crushing and Conveying Project at the Cloudbreak mine in Western Australia. In order to reduce costly long haulage routes, Fortescue introduced a new 10km Overland Conveyor system connecting the Far West Project to the existing CV006 conveyor at the Cloudbreak Mine. Other project components successfully included a relocatable crushing plant, powerline, switch rooms and tunnels. EMtek was proud to engage in the success of the Biggie Crushing and Conveying Project and continue its strong partnership with Fortescue.

 

### Major Work Inclusions

- Structural, mechanical, civil, electrical and instrumentation design for 10km Overland Conveyor CV010 and associated transfer points.
- DEM analysis for CV010 head end transfer.
- Data sheets for major mechanical equipment.
- Design, engineering and shop detailing of all components including OLC modules, head end, tail end, underpasses, shedders, truss sections and take-up structure.
- Detailing of Heavy Vehicle overpass tunnel section.
- Design and specification of the Switchroom, 690V VSD’s, low voltage 415V switchboards, PLC, communications network, Remote IO, transformer skids, ring main units and other associated high voltage equipment.
- Preparation of single line diagrams, schematics, termination drawings, cable schedules and field equipment electrical layouts.
- Earthworks and concrete detailed design.
