  ### Project Scope

Following a five month review of a process plant alarm and maintenance data, performance and remedial actions were proposed for the control systems of the plant. EMtek’s scope included all PLC and SCADA changes, change management forms/specifications and test run records. EMtek provided full support solutions for the plant. EMtek was responsible for providing and implementing recommendations to provide rectification and a full support solution after highlighting the initial project challenges.

 

### Major Work Inclusions

- Introduction of adaptive, model based control for apron feeder.
- Mitigation measure for high high tonnage rate tip cycles.
- Design Conveyor constant burden control.
- Review Overland Conveyor start curve and verify shape and acceleration time.
- Revise mass control for surge bin and primary discharge loop in order to improve plant availability and reduce the number of stoppages due to full bin.
- Investigate multiple plant feed, mass balance control.
- Update equipment interlocking.
- Preparation of change management forms.
- Commissioning, handover and support.
