ROM4

ROM4 Overland Conveyors

  • Client: Nepean, Roy Hill
  • Location: Pilbara, Western Australia
  • Date: 2022 - 2023

Project Scope

EMtek through JV partners Nepean and Linkforce completed the ROM4 project as an EPC.  EMtek completed the detailed design and engineering for two Overland Conveyors Conveyors at the Roy Hill Mine. The Conveyors are 2.3km and 6.8km respective and use an EMtek innovative cost effective 2-pulley design, with optimised low level module and footing design.

The overland conveyors incorporate active take-up tail ends, loading points, belt splicing & reeling stations, run of conveyor, river crossings, main road crossing (400 meters), head end assemblies, process potable & fire water systems, process control system, including EMtek innovative Constant Burden control and communications systems.

The ROM 4 Project is a 40.5Mtpa facility which delivered first ore in January 2023 and to be in service until 2032. Delivered on time and on budget.
