 Key Responsibilities:

  • Being a key technical leader on EMtek projects, dedicated to delivering exceptional value to clients through the provision of high-quality solutions that align with project objectives and requirements.
  • Providing technical advice to a growing team of mechanical engineers and to the wider EMtek team
  • Execute Mechanical Engineering tasks across a range of projects including:
    • Materials handling, covering conveying, material transfer, and advanced DEM modelling
    • Mechanical equipment selection
    • Pumping and piping, from mining services such as water, slurry, air, hydraulics through to power stations with fuel supply systems and lubrication systems
  • Ensure design tasks, activities and deliverables are formatted, progressed, checked, reviewed and completed in accordance with company and project requirements, procedures and systems, whilst maintaining consistency.
  • Support and collaborate with other disciplines and designers to develop designs for a wide range of plant and infrastructure.
  • Participate in the complete engineering process from concept development through to product manufacturing and commissioning.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role.

 

 Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering and 6+ years of Multidisciplinary Engineering experience in the mining and resources sector.
  • Strong design experience with the capability to produce calculations and design documentation, as well as having practical experience working in construction, commissioning and/or operations in the bulk materials and minerals processing industries. 
  • Experience across varied types of commodities from nickel through to iron ore.
  • Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards.
