 Key Responsibilities:

  • Management, ownership and coordination of mechanical design projects from feasibility level through to detailed design.
  • Detailed design of mechanical elements, such as conveyors, surge bins, chutes and transfer stations
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (e.g. civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure coordination and integration of mechanical elements with overall plant design
  • Prepare design drawings with sufficient detail for fabrication where required.

 Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in mechanical design, with 5+ years of Multidisciplinary design experience in the mining and resources sector.
  • Relevant experience in mining, minerals processing, and/or bulk materials handling industries.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design in the Australian mining sector.
  • Familiarity with engineering design software packages such as Bentley MicroStation and Prosteel. 
  • Good presentation and communication skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards.
  • Multi-discipline experience is advantageous
