 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications, databases, and digital tools to support engineering and business workflows.
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and translate technical use cases into robust digital solutions.
  • Provide IT systems administration and user support to ensure reliable operation of hardware, software, and networks.
  • Integrate AI and automation technologies (e.g. chatbots, data analysis, process automation) into existing systems to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong safety and quality focus through all aspects of work.

About you

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role.

 

 Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or IT Systems (or similar).
  • Strong understanding of full-stack development (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL) and modern software practices (version control and safety practices).
  • Proven programming experience and familiarity with AI integration frameworks and APIs (e.g. OpenAI).
  • Practical experience working in IT support, systems administration, or cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft 365).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and an interest in digital transformation within engineering environments.
